At ALNASR, we recognize that people are our greatest asset. As I look back over the last 40 years to the very beginnings of the UAE, it is clear that people have driven our business from a modest irrigation and contracting company, to the multi-disciplined enterprise we are today. Not just our people at ALNASR, but the countless others, from clients and suppliers, to the people of our wider community, that we have built fruitful relationships with over the decades.

Today I am proud of the heights the UAE has reached, proud of the role we have played in it, and grateful to all those people that have helped us on our journey. I attribute our success to our commitment to integrity in all of our relationships. Namely, the commitment to developing our people, to excellence in serving our clients, and to responsibly serve our community. At ALNASR, we understand that investing in our relationships is indeed investing in our own success, and we consider all those we have relationships with as partners in that success.

Looking forward, I believe we are firmly positioned to continue on our path of growth. In our people we have the experience and expertise to deliver on projects that are both large in scale and technical in nature. In our leaders, we have the vision required to reach our goals. But above all, as contractors, within ourselves, we have an innate drive to responsibly build and develop our community.

ALNASR’s humble beginnings date back to 1973, in a period when His Highness, the late Sheikh Zayed was calling for business leadership and innovation to drive the advancement of the UAE to become a regional and world player. Motivated by both his entrepreneurial spirit, and the ruler’s love for agriculture and greenery, our founder set out to establish one of Abu Dhabi’s first irrigation & contracting companies.

In the 1980s, our desire to continually expand our skill set and push our boundaries became ingrained in our culture, and set us on a new trajectory. We made strides into the infrastructure sector to serve the UAE’s main utility providers, growing our scope of work to wider applications including potable water, sewage and drainage. ALNASR focused on securing the most technically demanding jobs. Over the course of the decade, this strategy ensured we built a strong reputation with key clients, and helped us develop significant in house expertise. We soon established in-house mechanical, electrical , district cooling and civil divisions, and further expanded our infrastructure division to meet the advancing requirements of the market. Our focus and commitment to the UAE brought growth to ALNASR, and in the late 90s our number reached a landmark 1,000 people.

By the new millennium, economic growth across the UAE propelled us to be innovative and take on more multi-disciplined work. In 2004, ALNASR Irrigation became ALNASR contracting, and since then we have expanded into many other areas. Over four decades of success have given us the privilege of working with the largest national, regional and international clients on landmark strategic projects across the UAE. Today at over 4,500 strong, we are firmly rooted as the UAE’s expert multi-disciplined contractor, and pride our selves on delivering a broad spectrum of technical work to the very highest standards.
