MIRFA - MADINAT ZAYED PIPELINE PUMPING STATIONS, RESERVOIRS AND MISCELLANEOUS WORKS.

Scope of Work:

Project consists of mainly the following:

Mirfa Central Pumping Station & Intermediate Pumping Stations (IPS)
Detail design, engineering, supply, equipping, erection, construction, testing, commissioning etc. of complete pumping station installations for the Mirfa - Madinat Zayed Water pipeline, including all necessary auxiliaries and ancillaries. The pumping stations consist of the Mirfa Central Desalination/ Power Plant pumping station and 2 No. Intermediate Pumping Stations (I.P.S). Each I.P.S includes an accommodation building for WED operating staff. The I.P.S’s are located, respectively approx. 18.5 km and 33.5 km distant along the pipeline route from the Mirfa Central Desalination/ Power Plant Pumping Station.

Reservoirs
Detail design, engineering, supply, equipping, erection, construction, testing, commissioning etc. of a complete reservoirs installation, at the southern end of the pipeline route, of total capacity 4.0 million imperial gallons, including all necessary auxiliaries and ancillaries. The reservoirs locations is approx. 5 km West of Madinat Zayed City. The reservoirs installation  comprises of 2 tanks, each of capacity 2,000,000 Imperial Gallons. The tanks are of reinforced concrete construction.

Miscellaneous Works.
Engineering, detail design, supply, installation, construction, testing etc. of miscellaneous civil works, pits, structures, road crossings sleeves, armour rock, sand etc. along the pipeline route between the Mirfa and the Reservoirs, including installation of some pipework furnished by WED at road crossings, flood water passage/vehicle transit “gaps” in embankments, and elsewhere.
