The government of Abu Dhabi in their drive to encourage agricultural activities in the Emirates has constructed the Canning Vegetable Factory serving the Liwa and Western region of the Emirates in 1994 that has grown up to a major regional Canning Factory by 2003.
Al Nasr Irrigation & Contracting Co. was the subcontractor for the civil works when the factory was first constructed in 1994.
