Proposed Water Supply to AL Qarasina Island Belonging to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan
As part of development projects planned for the Al Qarasina Island off the shores of Abu Dhabi the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, The Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority, has awarded the water supply contract to Al Nasr Irrigation & Contracting Co. for the design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of HDPE submarine water pipeline between the Masnoua Island and the Qarasina Island along with the land line DI onshore pipeline sections as described herby:

Duration: 16/10/2005 - 15/06/2006
Scope of works:
Design, detailed engineering, preparation of drawings, supply of materials, transportation-delivery & storage at site, installation, construction. testing, flushing, disinfection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, handing over of the complete project and maintenance during warranty period for:
a)Supply & construction of 255mm Dia. HDPE line with length of 2250 meters (including off shore submarine section between Islands).
b)Supply & construction of 10mm Dia. HDPE line with approximate length of 2350m (including off shore submarine section between islands).
c)Supply & construction of all associated fittings required to fulfill the jobs (HDPE / DI).
d)Supply & construction of all civil works required.
e)Transportation of whole materials to and from site
f)Testing and commissioning of the complete contract works.
Civil Works
Construction of reinforced concrete chambers, thrust block, etc. for the above mentioned pipelines including chamber accessories, all as per drawings and specifications.
Testing & Commissioning
a)Hydrostatic testing of the complete pipeline system.
b)Disinfection and flushing of the complete pipeline system.
