The project was executed to transmit part of the desalinated water from a newly constructed desalination plant in Mirfa to Madinat Zayed a distance of over 60 Km through the desert with two intermediate pumping stations.
The project included the following construction activities:

Scope of Works:

Project consisted mainly of the following:
|
|
a) | Mirfa Central Pumping Station at Mirfa Central Desalination/Power Plant & Intermediate Pumping Stations 1 & 2
|
|
b) | Detail design, engineering, supply, equipping, erection, construction, testing, commissioning etc. of complete pumping station installations for the pumping stations, including all necessary auxiliaries and ancillaries.
|
|
c) | The pumping station at Mirfa Central Desalination/Power Plant and each of the Two intermediate pumping stations included an accommodation building for WED operating staff.

Reservoirs:
|
|
Detail design, engineering, supply, equipping, erection, construction, testing, commissioning etc. of a complete reinforced concrete break tank reservoirs of total capacity of 1,000,000 Imperial gallons each at intermediate pumping stations 1 and 2 and main reinforced concrete Reservoir constructions and installations comprising of 2 tanks, each of 2,000,000 Imperial Gallons at Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi.

|

Engineering, detail design, supply, installation, construction, testing etc. of miscellaneous civil works, pits, structures, road crossings sleeves, armour rock, sand, etc. along pipeline route (pipeline laid by WED).
