To provide the necessary power supply for the new developments on the Abu Dhabi break water area, Al Nasr Irrigation & Contracting Co. was awarded the contract for the supply and installation of 33 KV submarine cable from the substation to the Lulu Island and from their with a second submarine line to the Break Water development.
The project was on a very tight schedule and work was executed on time and on schedule.

| Scope of Works:
|
|
| a) | Supply & install from Free Port Substation (E12) to the Lulu Island Substation and from Lulu Island to Break water area 4 Nos. 3 x 240 mm2 33 KV cables and 4 Nos of Pilot cables.
|
|
| b) | Two Channel crossings by dredging to lay power cables (approx length 1.3 KM).
|
|
| c) | Special cable protection material supply & install at marine existing cables under the seabed.
|
|
| d) | Complete marine works, dredging and backfilling for the installation of the power cables.
