DN 1000 Pipeline
from Sweihan to Defence

The project of Fujairah Transmission Scheme is being built under the instructions of H.H. President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan AL Nahyan to meet the rising demand for water in ALO-AIN Region and the rapidly growing water and power needs of the northern emirates.
The private Department for H.H. intends to construct DN 1000 mm GRP pipeline starting from Sweihan tanks and ended at the new proposed interchange at Al Heeliya area running along the north side of Abu Dhabi - Sweihan road.
The objective of the DN 1000 GRP pipeline is to meet the anticipated water demand of the growing farming and forests along Abu Dhabi Sweihan road.
The proposed pipeline of approximate length of 58 Km. and distribution branches is designed to deliver approx. 20 MGD to the farms and future developments.
Al Nasr Irrigation & Contracting Co. was awarded this prestigious contract that required total design, procurement, installation and commissioning works to be completed in 6 months.

| Scope of works: |
|
| a) | Survey of the existing conditions and prepare shop drawings for the pipeline profile.
|
|
| b) | Design, procure, install test & commission GRP DN 1200mm & DN 1000mm & HDPE 630mm pipeline complete with control valves, air release valves, actuators, concrete chambers, None destructive road crossings under major Abu Dhabi - Sweihan 6 lane highway and temporary access roads along the pipeline route. |

| c) | Design, procure, install, test & commission all electrical RTU’s.
